Hey everyone, Wes here!

Jase and I are thrilled to announce that the ExploreHere team is packing our bags and heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Route 66 RoadFest 2026!

With the upcoming centennial, this event serves as our official kickoff to celebrate the legacy of Route 66.

While the "Mother Road" is packed with incredible history, I’ve always believed that Route 66 is ultimately a means to an end for adventure - a pathway that leads to hidden gems, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable stories.

As we plan our trip to Tulsa, it’s been funny to see how differently Jase and I approach travel.

If you know Jase, you know his absolute favorite way to engage with a new place is by exploring through its food. He loves breaking his routine by finding cozy, hole-in-the-wall diners and trying local dishes we've never heard of before.

Me on the other hand, I’m looking at the topography and the great outdoors. I'm scanning the route for scenic detours, backcountry trails, and keeping my fingers crossed that I can somehow find a geyser or a weird roadside natural wonder to explore.

We’re incredibly excited to connect with you all in person - we've snagged a 10x10 booth space at the festival, and I’ve been busy in the shop designing and building a custom, interactive laser-cut wooden map just for the occasion (more on that soon.)

When you drop by the booth, you can play our landmark guessing game: test your road trip knowledge by trying to place iconic Route 66 stops - like Cadillac Ranch, The Blue Whale, and the Golden Driller - in their correct states!

Finally, to celebrate the centennial and our trip to RoadFest, we are officially launching our curated Route 66 Tour within the ExploreHere app. You can download the tour for offline use, fire up Travel Mode to let the audio guides automatically narrate the history around you as you drive, and explore the incredible stops along the way.

We can’t wait to see you in Tulsa.

Come by the booth, say hi, play the map game, and let's swap some road trip stories!

Safe travels,
Wes
